When Is Hanukkah 2018?Tracing Hanukkah's U.S. Roots ... To Cincinnati? : NPRHanukkah | Hallmark Corporate Information

Most schools in the U.S. are mostly Christian and sometimes they would do Christian celebrations but sometimes there could be a Jews student in the class. The Jews student could feel a bit left out. Therefore, it's important to think about other students who are of a different religion.

For the religion of Judaism, Hanukkah is an eight-day celebration. The celebration starts at sundown and ends on the evening of December, 20. Hanukkah celebrates the rededication of the temple of Jerusalem after it was stolen by the Maccabees. The eight days symbolizes the number of days which the candles late. This important because there was only Enough oil for only one day, according to (newsobserver). The holidays revolve around using a menorah that has 8 little candle holders and every day they turn one on, unlit the 8 days ended.
